Of the various presses manufactured today, perhaps the most predominateare those employed in the wood, wood products, and plastics laminating industries.
They are essential for the manufacture of plywood andcomposition boards (particleboard, hardboard, medium densityfiberboard, etc.); for the manufacture of high and low pressure decorative laminates, veneers, film and fiber overlays; and for thelamination of plastic credit cards and compact discs.
The curing fluid is often steam, hot water, hot oil, or alternatingsteam and cold water.
